Happy Valentine’s Day

Got the second dose of the vaccine today. Never before have I welcomed the fever and aches as I do this evening. Feels like passing through a gate back to a life I vaguely remember. The sadness is not being able to bring my family with me. Will wait for them on the other side...

I am in agreement with the UK approach to vaccines. The Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine may not be perfect, but looks to be effective enough to prevent severe disease/hospitalizations. Adding this vaccine soon in the US is important - lets not have the perfect be the enemy of the good

The truth is that it is those self doubts that guard against complacency and force each of us to constantly try to do better, no matter what our age. When those disappear it is probably time to retire....

Take it from me. That feeling never ends...
