travelling tonight a small part of the sky

star to star looking for origins

skirting horizons

breaking thin atmospheres

bathing in the waterfall colours of an aurora polaris

afloat in the clear darkness of space

finding familiar constellations

On finding joy in the everyday. Here is my poem as a recipe for living. Tried to cloak it in mystery... did it work? :) For me, it's this vibe, but on a geological time scale. Everything I said here, but at a snail’s pace. This, but end game. Yes? Ok. @toptweettuesday Jen Feroze 💙

3 years ago I spent 3 weeks in a quarantine facility in North Cyprus with my son, confined to a room with a single window and bad takeout meals delivered to the door. It was a surreal experience. Thanks TopTweetTuesday and Jen Feroze 💙 for hosting.

Writing a poem for the TopTweetTuesday challenge after 2+ months. Not sure if I have done justice to imagist poetry 😅 I'm fascinated by the clouds I see every day. So I had to write something about them. Thank you Jen Feroze 💙 for hosting this week's challenge ❤️

I'm not sure it meets the brief, other than being 14 lines long. I hope it does, but the everyday in our house is the common magic that is performed with glue and paper, so that's where my mind went.

The Desert

this sparse space is home
to survivalist creatures
species unheard
feathered
furred
scales slither and walk upon this land
habitat in water holes
you’ll see silk spun
hanging beneath blinding sun
hammocks for moon worshipers
all this and more
in a heart beat

climate change
the weather report
ends all war
