Take Back Alberta’s leader is facing a contempt of court hearing and cross-examination by Elections Alberta. David Parker says he’s currently contacting Take Back Alberta donors to warn them he may soon be forced to disclose their names. pressprogress.ca/take-back-albe… #ableg #cdnpoli

Just here to rage about a dear disabled friend contracting COVID after spending one night in hospital. The medical procedure they required had to be done in a hospital. Getting help shouldn't make you sick. Bring back masks. RAGE.

So everyone who ever gets behind on rent (like disabled people living in legislated poverty often do) will be penalized. Meanwhile those of us who have been lucky enough to pay rent on time and have decent credit scores will still never be able to afford a home. 🙄

For the first time in 40+ years of having #foodallergies, a venue has asked me to sign an indemnity form before they will handle food for me. I suspect this is fallout from the Disney Resorts situation, but it feels wrong. Any Lawyers willing to do a pro-bono consult on this?

Steve Silberman was a writer for whom autistic people were never just a subject. We were his peers and his friends. Many autistic writers-including me-owe a great deal to his support. He will be missed so much.

This. “Cursed” is a great word for it. And just to complicate it: one person I know who writes about blindness would likely question how disability is valued by whether it is or isn’t “seen” in the first place. A strange hierarchy where disability measured through the eyes.

"Moreover, the Provincial Government's decision to unilaterally claw back funding for the Green Line LRT sets a concerning precedent for all future infrastructure projects across Alberta. #ableg #yyccc #Calgary

This move sends a clear signal that no project, regardless of its scope or significance, is safe from unexpected funding cuts. The resulting uncertainty introduces a huge element of risk for contractors and businesses involved in provincial projects, undermining confidence...

Lease expires in Feb. Expecting a mass raise and/or renoviction. Hoping there's something within budget that's not all bedbuggy. Lethbridge rent is ass.

I'm trying to complete City of Vancouver survey & once again I find myself unable to do so. What is number 7 if not 1,2,3,4,5,6, 8, 9? It allows you to pick top 3. Few will pick #7 due to structure of survey. Say housing, infrastructure top. Me: Accessibility City: Not in top 3

This survey can only be structured this way by people who either don't understand the actual real objective behind diversity & equity - which includes accessibility btw - or they do understand it but deliberately want to misrepresent it.

Because it's not separate from street design, housing, safety or anything else. It's all of the freaking above. Anyway, I'm deleting tweets asking people to fill out survey. Send an email instead telling them that you couldn't fill in survey because the design of it was flawed.

This is, rather sadly, an ongoing issue with the NDP across the Western provinces. Too busy courting the right who will never vote for them, while spiting a larger contingent that would have if they didn't do this crap.
