Had a really lovely afternoon today scouting the biodiversity of Clonmel's grassy verges with clonmeltidytowns.

So much to see when you take a moment to look!

More than 100,000 dolphins and small whales are hunted and killed every year. Most hunts are unregulated, illegal and unsustainable with unknown impacts on populations.

Please sign our petition calling for dolphin and small whale hunting to end.

The Breac Maodhóg • The Speckled Shrine of Maodhóg

This c11th century reliquary features bronze plaques with wonderfully detailed figures of men and women, likely to represent saints or clerics.

It is associated with the monastery of Drumlane in Cavan. On display in National Museum of Ireland

Day 10 or 12 (?!) Castlepook cave excavations 2024 funded by Royal Irish Academy are going well as end is in sight. Working in very tight rifts in the cave, finding Pleistocene & intact sediment (sampled). Ken Williams visited us a few times, his photos below 👇

I was complaining to my friend about how awful things feel and how hard it all is at the minute, and he said 'it's a period of deep moral injury for anyone with a thinking mind and a working heart,' and if that doesn't just hit the nail on the head I don't know what does.

I would like to see an end to *all* trawling and dredging within 6nm of the coast, regardless of boat size. This will give the best chance for marine life recovery.

Please make a submission, it only takes 5mins

Very lucky that Austin Powers was frozen from 1967-1997 and therefore had zero involvement in the Northern Ireland conflict despite being a top British Intelligence asset.
