At exercise #IronWolf , the German 🇩🇪, Dutch 🇳🇱, Norwegian 🇳🇴, Belgian 🇧🇪, Czech 🇨🇿 & Luxembourg 🇱🇺 troops of #eFP Battlegroup Lithuania 🇱🇹 demonstrates that they are ready to defend #Lithuania .

Nato➡️ #StrongerTogether , because we train with our NATO allies. During Ex #IronWolf , the #eFP BG 🇱🇹 fights as a multinational BG, but as opposing forces we are supported by allies of 🇱🇹 Lithuanian_Armed_Forces,🇬🇧 infantry of #eFP BG 🇪🇪, soldiers of 🇨🇿Armáda ČR & a tank unit of 🇺🇸U.S. Army. 1/2

We support Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration path by contributing with our expertise to bring 🇬🇪 Armed Forces closer to Euro-Atlantic standards. Today, 🇱🇹DefMin Arvydas Anušauskas met w/ 🇬🇪DefMin Juansher Burchuladze to discuss regional security issues & the need to support Ukraine.

The war in Ukraine has shown that air defence is critical. Lithuania further strengthens its air defence by signing a deal with Saab for 'Bolide' & 'MK-2' missiles for the air defence missile system RBS-70.

The Iron Wolf 2022-II, one of the largest international military exercises in Lithuania, involves around 3,500 troops & 700 military vehicles from 🇱🇹 & 9 allied/partner countries: 🇧🇪🇨🇿🇩🇪🇳🇴🇳🇱🇱🇺🇺🇸🇬🇧🇦🇺. They demonstrate their readiness, share experiences & improve interoperability.

Following the order by🇱🇹 #IronWolf brigade, the staff of #eFP BG🇱🇹issued its own intent for the defence of the area of operation to the battle companies. In the next days, all 🇩🇪🇳🇱🇳🇴🇧🇪🇨🇿 companies will put the plan into action for a successful defence.

Today, 🇱🇹DefMin Arvydas Anušauskas awarded 🇱🇹Lithuanian_Armed_Forces troops for their exemplary service in the NATO Mission Iraq - NMI mission. Lithuania, as a reliable ally, contributes its troops to achieve common peacekeeping objectives. We are fulfilling our duty, demonstrating our capability and readiness.

Historic day for 🇱🇹-🇯🇵 relations: today we welcomed Captain Eitaro Nakaoka, who is the first 🇯🇵 Defence Attaché to 🇱🇹. Defence cooperation of our countries is increasing. Despite the distance, we have similarities in our security environment that draws us closer to each other.

🇱🇹🇺🇸 Lithuania signed an agreement with the United States to acquire 300 additional Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV) for Lithuanian_Armed_Forces. By the end of 2024, we will have a total of 500. It will significantly reinforce the existing capabilities, increasing mobility & combat power.

We are #StrongerTogether , because we can rely on each other as a #Battlegroup . Everyone in #eFP BG 🇱🇹 has special skills - like this 🇩🇪 CBRN company decontaminating 🇳🇴CV-90 infantry fighting vehicles. That makes us a powerful force in defending our NATO eastern flank! #WeAreNato
