At a time when too many young people are struggling with social media, short attention spans, and anxiety, it was great to see the community together at my annual youth chess day.

Vermonters got in on the fun of chess — a game of dedication, strategy, and quick-thinking.

In America today:

- Black women are 3x more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than their white women.

- Black infants are 4x more likely to die from complications due to low birthweight than white infants.

We must pass the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act.

Yesterday, the HELP Committee held a hearing to address two major health crises: One, the need for more Black, Latino, and Native American health professionals. Two, the alarming rate of maternal deaths that disproportionately impacts Black, Latina, and Native American women.

Big Oil is the new Big Tobacco. They create death and destruction, and then spend billions denying their responsibility.

Like the tobacco industry before them, the DOJ must hold these companies accountable for breaking the law.

How much do they charge Americans for this drug? $969.

If Novo can substantially reduce the price of Ozempic in Denmark, it must do the same in the US.
