April is Care Workers Recognition Month. Yesterday, I held a roundtable with members of @seiuva512, @careinactionus, Domestic Workers and Dreamer Mothers in Action to celebrate the Biden-Harris Administration’s actions to strengthen the care economy and what more must be done.

Today, we are unveiling the first in our Portraits of Care series!

Yesterday, team Philly joined Alliance for a Just Philadelphia at the city budget hearing to advocate for the $2.6 million of funding we need for the Office of Worker Protections!

Workers in Philly deserve workplace protections and the support to enforce those policies.

Care is EVERYWHERE!

About 80 million Americans are “sandwich” caregivers — including lisaling.

She shares how she and her husband care for their children and an elderly parent at the same time and how finances play a role in caregiving decisions for families in similar situations.
