I wrote the small npm package `aws-sigv4-fetch` to automatically sign all http requests with #aws signature V4. It provides a signed `fetch()` fucntion that simply adds the authorization header to the request.

The date formatting in the AWS management console is quite nice, especially that it shows the date in UTC and as a Unix timestamp.
