The Tories rigged the London mayor electoral system to favour their candidate, accused Sadiq Khan of being controlled by Islamists and knowingly told lies about his supposed plans to introduce pay per mile. Is this the most disgraceful election campaign of modern times?

If only the Tories were as outraged by 500 unnecessary deaths a week in A&E as they are by the National Trust selling vegan scones

There would once have been stigma attached to deporting asylum seekers to dictatorships, looting pension funds, dodging taxes, illegally sacking entire workforces, dumping sewage in rivers and selling unusable PPE to the NHS. These things need to be shameful again.

Sadiq Khan spends public money on feeding school kids, not on promoting a girlfriend's tech company. But Susan Hall knows that.

James Cleverly has been on telly defending the Rwanda deportation policy. The same policy he described as 'batshit' only last November.

If Chris Philp is reading the newspapers this morning, Columbia is a university in New York and Colombia is a country in South America. Hope that helps.

Liz Truss - foreign secretary at the time - didn't know the difference between the Baltic and the Black Sea. Theresa Coffey thought Kigali was a country. And Chris Philp didn't know Congo and Rwanda were different countries.

GB News burns tens of millions of pounds a year and only survives because a rightwing billionaire picks up the tab. Then it gives airtime to people who argue that 'the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money'.

British Rail had the highest productivity and lowest state funding of any railway system in Europe. That was destroyed on the altar of free market dogma.

As a socialist, I spent the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s arguing that council house sales, privatisations, PFI, austerity and Brexit were storing up disaster for the future. Now the future's here, I'm reluctantly forced to conclude I was right all along.

The idea that British Rail was inferior to privatised rail operators is a rightwing myth. Punctuality was roughly the same, trains were more frequent, overcrowding was rare, and you could actually afford the fares.

Susan Hall stands to get about a quarter of the London vote on a platform chiefly comprised of racism and wilful lies about her main opponent's policies. These are dangerous political waters.

France takes three times as many asylum seekers as Britain, Germany ten times as many. And neither is negotiating a deportation camp scheme with an African dictatorship.

The Tories want you to think about small boats because they don't want you to think about climate change, the cost of living, the homelessness crisis or the NHS falling to pieces

In 1776, a Tory government introduced prison hulks and started deporting people to Tasmania. In 2023, a Tory government is introducing prison hulks and deporting people to Rwanda. Centuries of British progress.
