This is a great example of the weaponization of both the charge of anti-semitism & fragile White femininity. Deploying the language of fear, knowing full well that if security shows up, there is a possibility that the student protesters will get brutalized or arrested. Repulsive.

I stand in solidarity with students protesting against injustice and oppression. Many of us remember protesting as students against apartheid in South Africa, and freedom for Nelson Mandela. Students have always led the way for change.

Let’s be clear folks railing against DEI want to keep spaces predominantly white with their perspectives & experiences informing decisions.

They cannot imagine people they once subjugated as having knowledge, much less power.

For those unable to see how our struggles are intertwined, please read this book, which traces the intimate entanglement of colonialism, slavery, racism, liberalism, & capitalism, as well as the philosophical discourses justifying these interlocked systems of domination.

Any university that allows snipers on the roof of campus buildings in response to a nonviolent student protest is not place of higher learning.

You will note that a number of the university administrators issuing threatening notices & evicting students are people of colour.

Who wouldn't be in their positions if fifty odd years ago, young people hadn't occupied, protested, stood up and demanded equality.

I CANT BREATHE (AGAIN?)

It is worth watching this CNN video from the moment Emory Econ Professor Caroline Fohlin came across the violent arrest of a protester on campus and asked the police, with shock, 'What are you doing?' That's all that prompted an officer to hurl her to the ground and handcuff her.

Professor protecting and supporting her students in their quest for justice and against genocide, and she is being hauled away by masked armed men. She is doing her job looking after the well-being of her students by supporting them.
