.Council President Sean Elo-Rivera and I met with FEMA Region 9 to discuss our ongoing recovery from the Jan. 22 floods and convey our gratitude for their support.

Over 2,400 households are approved for assistance and millions of dollars are helping rebuild. Deadline to apply is April 19.

We are aware and monitoring the that impacted areas of NY, NJ, PA and surrounding areas. Our regional administrators are in touch with their state counterparts and there are currently no unmet needs.

.Deanne Criswell has been briefed on the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse and FEMA continues to monitor the situation. We have a member of our FEMAregion3 embedded with Maryland Department of Emergency Management (MDEM) and our regional administrator remains in close contact with the state.

The U.S. Coast Guard was on the scene along with our state and local partners and is actively involved in search and rescue operations this morning. There are no indications this was an intentional act and we are assessing the impacts to the Port of Baltimore. (2/2)

We are closely monitoring the fires in Texas and Oklahoma. @FEMA issued two fire management assistance grants for Texas and one for Oklahoma and our FEMA Region 6 Administrator is in close contact with both states. We remain on standby to support as needed.
