About to cross 80,000 on LinkedIn, which had generated amazing leads, benefits and opportunities.

Too many people from Twitter are sleeping on it.

My wife has grown it by sharing my Twitter content, 🀯

For beginners, it may even be easier to grow over there... 🀫

6. Be willing to fail

'Failure is not the opposite of success. It is part of success.'

Too many people don't start because they are afraid to fail.

Instead, start even if you are afraid of failing. If you fail, start again, and again, until you succeed.

4. Set your goals

Successful people set goals.

A Harvard MBA class was asked if they had goals and a plan:

C - 84% no goals
B - 13% goals, no plan
A - 3% goals and a plan

Ten years later, B was earning twice as much as C.

A students earned 10x the B and C groups combined.

8. Develop good habits

'We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.'

If we want to be successful, then we need to BE successful.

We need to adopt the habits and behaviors that will lead to our success.

Capital Gains and the impact on Real Estate Developers.

Canada screwed up and the Americans are about to.

They're raising taxes on capital gains, which will shoot themselves in the foot.

Everyone is focused on small businesses and not enough thought on the impact to real…

No.

Sales taxes are disproportionately worse for the poor.

I don't like tax and even I align on this one.

Lower income earners spend a greater proportion of their earnings, which they have to do to live. Hence, they pay disproportionately more sales tax.

Wealthy people…

1. Show Up

Eighty percent of success is showing up.

This is your life, and you are the artist of your masterpiece.

Showing up is about being present in the moment and consistent in the areas that matter in your life, day in, day out.

3. Be humble

Humility goes a long way.

It allows us to maintain a beginner's mindset.

Successful people do not like to be with arrogant people who have all the answers.

Humility allows us to be around these successful people, which will enable us to grow in specific ways.

2. Be patient

Success will not happen overnight.

It will happen when you show up consistently, day in and day out, and are committed to the process.

To be successful, you need to be persistent in your actions and patient with your results.

9. Have a beginner's mindset

Humility drives a beginner's mindset.

It recognizes that we do not have the answers to everything.

In everything you seek to do in life, be open to learning, growing, and improving.

When you do this consistently for 10+ years, you will succeed.

11. Be the hardest worker in the room

Nothing above matters without work.

If you know what you want, create a plan to achieve it, and do the daily work, you will win.

I often refer to this as having a blue-collar work ethic in a white-collar job. Be willing to grind it out.
