To put things into context, if I get COVID my law job would expect me to isolate for ten days and would pay me sick leave. My hospital would expect me back in zero to five days and I would have no pay for missed shifts. Is it clear why health care workers are burned out?

I got my degree for $50 a semester at a public university. But since then, our government has hacked away at higher education funding and left students to pick up the bill. So we must #CancelStudentDebt and invest in free two- and four-year public college and technical school.

Take a look around. We are in a moment in which we have more income & wealth inequality than any point since the 1920's. Our infrastructure has been neglected and is crumbling. We have record heatwaves, and bodies of water are on fire. If now is not the time to act boldly — when?

They painted BLM instead of defunding the police, clapped for essential workers instead of raising the wage, and made Juneteeth a holiday instead of making sure Black folks can vote. Always a symbolic victory instead of a material change.
