I wonder a lot about the politics of the word “dignity” in relation to disability.

What questions need to be asked and what assumptions made about disability for the idea of “dignity” to be central to our existence.

The surveillance of students is never “race neutral” and this certainly won’t be neutral in terms of disability.

This question gets asked a lot re: straw bans too - “what did people do before _____?” The answer is often either they stayed sick, got more sick, or worse.
