With the start of the year it's time to take stock of our bird capturesin #Tagus estuary🇵🇹. Last year, we caught over 1700 birds from 54 different species, with #chiffchaffs and #dunlins leading the list. Pliers will click soon!

Developmental factors, i.e. #information , assembled after they have fledged, shape the individual #migrations .
Different ways, different countries but same destination: Iceland! Our 5 Black-tailed Godwits caught in #Tagus Estuary are now in the breeding areas. Huge thanks again to Wader Study and Global Messenger for these tags and to Eco Flyway for all the hard work to capture these birds.
