Realised earlier that Nicola Coughlan is older, playing the lead in the latest season of Bridgerton, than Anne Bancroft was when she played Mrs Robinson in The Graduate. That feels like it says something about how our perceptions of age have changed doesn't it?

Raheem Sterling is funding 14 students from under-represented backgrounds to go through university. Closing date for applications for 2nd year of programme is this week. He told me in 2020 he wanted to do something direct and meaningful and here it is.

In this thread, Iโ€™m going to go into some detail about what the phrase โ€œFrom the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Freeโ€ means to many Jewish people. You may not agree, but I hope that it may enlighten those who simply don't understand the almost visceral reaction to it.

Saying there's no difference between Starmer and Sunak, and Labour can't lose so it's safe to vote Green/independent, is the ultimate in luxury belief campaigning.

If youโ€™re an 18-year-old looking for weekend voluntary work over the next six weeks can I suggest canvassing for the Labour Party?

Six years since my second book, an alternate history thriller called The Red Storm, was published under the JD Fennell pseudonym. It had quite a fanfare with multiple signings, radio, TV, and was later shortlisted for the Wilbur Smith Wilbur&NisoSmithFdn prize which was incredible.

I'm delighted to have been selected by Labour to take on the PM.

I'm running to provide a real credible choice for voters in this election. We won in Rishi Sunak's backyard once already this year, let's do it again.

Starmer on his hatred of opposition:

โ€œI wasn't coming into politics to sit on the backbenches tweeting about voting and how brilliant my vote was, losing every single timeโ€

โ€œTattooed on my head is that in the first 12 months as an MP I voted 172 times and I lost 171โ€

Make no mistake, these Tory resignations are a direct result of the way Starmer, Reeves and those around them have successfully positioned the party in a remarkably short time since the Corbyn debacle. The hard left could never inflict such damage to the Tories.
