“So today when I opened up my internet banking and [indistinct words] $550,000, so now [indistinct] you see why I just don’t care anymore.”

So now I just want to know if he gained or lost $550k.

When academic discussion is censored, then the only logical response is for anyone giving a talk to pull out.

If doctors can’t be free to speak the truths we see, then what is the purpose of our existence?

Normalise pregnant women eating food.

I’ve just learned so much about tunnels I never knew existed at hospitals I have personally worked at. The incidence, history and use of hospital tunnels is really fascinating!

Today I learned that calling a brown person a coconut is a hate crime in the UK, because a brown woman weaponised it against a Black woman.

On the days it is hardest to find the light, it is important to remember it is always there in the hearts of people who put out lamps for others.

As a fellow surgeon, this is heartbreaking. I can’t even start to comprehend what healthcare workers in these situations face - exhaustion, moral injury, burnout, risk to life.

Politics aside, hospitals, health care workers and ill/injured civilians deserve protection.

Look the Optus outage is frustrating but when David Coleman (opposition comms) says “The government needs to assist Optus” does he really think Albo is about to roll up his sleeves and go do some mansplaining to the Optus engineers? I’m sure Optus know what they are doing?
