So deeply, deeply sad to hear the one and only Alf McCarthy died tonight. His voice was iconic on Late Date on RTÉ Radio 1. He was full of such humour and mischief, and was a true performer to the end, only on stage in The Everyman 10 days ago. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé. #PureCork

Shout out to the excellent, friendly and patient A&E staff in St Vincent's St Vincent's University Hospital (SVUH) who do a great job in difficult circumstances and sometimes while dealing with, nasty, rude and intoxicated people as I discovered today. Hats off, they took it all in their stride.
