Quite extraordinary in the latest YouGov poll, that Reform are ahead of the Tories among men.

In this poll, 65% of Reform's vote comes from men. Its predecessors were also more popular with men than women, in GE2019 59% of the Brexit Party's vote came from men. 1/

As a barrister, I am facing disciplinary proceedings by Bar Standards Board for expressing frustrations at the “echoes of a boys’ club attitude” in a family court judgment by a judge & member of the Garrick. The disciplinary judge recused himself, as he was a member of the Garrick too.

Head of civil service and MI6 chief resign Garrick membership. Glad to see the ridiculous argument about ‘being there to make it better’ dropped. No senior leaders should be members of elite organisations that arbitrarily ban half the population. theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/m…

Worth reading the Guardian investigation into the ‘male members only’ Garrick Club. One excuse mooted is that politics isn’t talked about there… but remember this?

Great article from John Burn-Murdoch. Very much echoes what Rosie Campbell and I found in our report on Women voters for @labourtogether, which also found big differences between the young men and women, particularly around attitudes towards opportunities for women. 1/
