21% of people waited >6 weeks for a diagnostic test in February. This is the best performance since the start of the pandemic but is far beyond the 1% target and objective of 5% by March 2025.

#Cancer waiting times, while slightly better than the previous month, are still unacceptably long.

Look out for more QualityWatch analysis of cancer diagnosis/treatment coming later this month. 👀

There is a downward trend in terms of the number of people waiting for planned treatment - the waiting list has now been decreasing in small increments for 6 months in a row. 📉

But if it continued at the current rate it would take many years to get back to pre-pandemic levels.
