Terd Furgeson I know for a fact that this is a completely false statement.

Nobody of the Tornado devs was running relayers.

Moreover, they had a compliance tool and made all possible efforts to deter bad actors by blocking sanctioned addresses on the frontend before it became mainstream.

It is time to channel all of our collective TC outrage into constructive debate and advocacy efforts - let's move this issue forward.

I've written about this potential scenario several times in the past. It's 'permissioned-on-permissionless' and it's a weird hydra that combines the worst of both worlds (e.g. no legal recourse).

Privacy Enhancing Technologies allow people to level the playing field and enforce their consent. They provide people the freedom to explore the world on their terms. They allow people to come out and connect with strangers, to escape & rebuild, to recover, to breath.
