The TSA PreCheck trusted traveler program enables vetted, low-risk travelers to move through security more efficiently. Additional enrollment providers make it easier for the public to enroll and enjoy a seamless travel experience.

Experiencing the solar eclipse earlier this month was incredible, but for #TeamTSA at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, it was especially memorable. As the eclipse darkened the sky, the newest recruits gathered outside for a special swearing-in ceremony. Congrats to all!

Innovation is in our TSA DNA, but innovation isn’t easy. We’ve come a long way since the TSA early days, even in the last few years. Recently, we hosted innovation leaders to generate ideas & develop solutions to improve security & passenger experience. tsa.gov/innovation/lift

The TSA and DHS S&T Innovation Checkpoint at Harry Reid International Airport is testing technology, like self-service screening, that will revolutionize air travel. Investments in innovation like these are critical to building the most safe, efficient, and user-friendly airports possible.

On this day in TSA history, we established the TSA Academy at FLETC in Glynco, GA, addressing the need for a comprehensive education & development program for training our workforce. We’ve seen over 100k graduates since 2012, as the Academy continues to set the gold-standard.

We had a fabulous visit to Atlanta Airport with U.S. Travel & the Seamless & Secure Travel Commission, CBP, & Delta, where we showcased our state-of-the-art checkpoint tech and discussed One Stop Security updates. We appreciate these critical partnerships!

Since joining TSA in 2017, my top priority has been our workforce. I am pleased to announce that we have reached a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFGE covering all of our bargaining unit employees beginning May 24, 2024.

✈️ I’m traveling to Europe where I’ll meet with international partners in the transportation sector. Partnerships continue to be a key feature to our mission’s success. What affects one industry and nation, affects us all. I’m looking forward to this week’s discussions.

Over the weekend, we marked the anniversary of our Federal Flight Deck Officers program. Created in response to 9/11, FFDOs are trained flight crew members who defend flights against acts of criminal violence. We’re thankful for them as they continue to keep air travel secure.
