Rohingya victims of genocide and crimes against humanity committed by Burma’s military deserve justice and accountability. Our priority remains ending violence and impunity and supporting the people of Burma’s desire for democracy, peace and prosperity.

Two years ago, Secretary Antony Blinken determined Burma’s military committed genocide and crimes against humanity against Rohingya. As we seek peace and reconciliation, we must bear witness to truth, hold those responsible to account, and deliver justice to the victims.

Three years ago, Burma's military regime seized power from a democratically elected government, blatantly rejecting the will of Burma's people. We remain as committed now as we were when the conflict began to supporting the people of Burma's pursuit for a democratic nation.
