The person who invented the ferris wheel never met the person who invented the merry go round.

They traveled in different circles.

Adolph Hitler would not allow German citizens to receive the Nobel Prize. So he created his own prize: The German National Prize for the Arts and Science. One recipient of this prize (in 1937) was August Bier who was the first to describe spinal anesthesia (125 years ago).

The polar opposites of my musical experience this week: from Queens of the Stone Age to ABBA Revisited! Don’t worry Josh, yours was definitely the best concert!

DalAnesthesia resident Dr. Sarah Tremaine @sarahtremaine1 points out that educational (via grand rounds)…

Is not enough to bring about behaviour change

Despite education, volatile flow rates were similar pre/post GRs

However, not adjusted for case length.

Happy 197th Birthday to the father of antiseptic surgery, Joseph Lister 🥳
His pioneering work on antiseptic surgery began at Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he used carbolic acid for the first time. His principles and practice revolutionised surgery and has saved countless lives
