One thing I dislike about the social media era is people trying to ‘force’ those with a larger platform/community to have a public opinion on everything — particularly current global events.

It’s entitled.

It's hard because if you're a 'public figure' you are pressured to have a public 'take' on everything. Even if you are not well versed on it.

If you speak, people attack you.

If you don't, people attack you.

Social media has made people less empathetic and less charitable.

Hard truth:

Many people currently in their 20s + 30s will arrive at a place of ill health in their 50s + 60s (or possibly earlier).

Destructive lifestyle habits don't reveal themselves right away - but they will eventually.

The good news: it's never too late to change.

Your salads don’t have to be boring:

— Add bitter greens (arugula my top choice)
- Put 1 or 2 plant protein sources in there (tempeh/tofu, chickpeas, beans, lentils)
- A source of fat (avocado, tahini)
- Add ferments (sauerkraut, kimchi)
- Make a homemade dressing

Good to go 👍🏿

If you feel *extra* groggy in the mornings, DON’T snooze your alarm as it will worsen sleep inertia (which is the feeling of reduced cognitive awareness in the morning from forced awakedness)

I used to be in the camp of blaming doctors for constantly favouring drugs over lifestyle changes, but it’s a little more than that.

Do we overmedicate? Yes

But are the efforts of doctors to encourage patient lifestyle change ignored and refused by said patients? Also yes
