Still, I’m sure Johnson is glad to be back anyway. In between buffets and sunbathing he must have been so worried about his constituents.

Hard cringe.

There’s a saying - don’t fix what isn’t broke. And Britain was doing OK.

But Brexiteers either wanted to turn us into ‘free market’ Singapore on Sea, or a Braverman/Patel migrant hating country. Or a Mogg fossil fuel using, backward-looking version.

And it all feels worse.

This crisis is hurtling down the track. Every pound invested in a child, in their education, in dinners, returns a net benefit.

Yet schools can’t afford bills or to pay staff properly.
