We have written to Amanda Pritchard and Victoria Atkins about our concerns that NHS England is decommissioning NHS Practitioner Health services.

We are concerned about the effect on ALL staff, and particularly concerned that women and IMG doctors will be disproportionately affected

Numbers under regulator/disciplinary issues fallen from 40% to 3% over 15 years we believe due to improved access to NHS Practitioner Health -> significant cost saving to #nhs when factor in costs of Ix’s , dual costs of salary & locum if Dr is suspended, legal costs etc

Good morning to all relevant and responsible in NHS England NHS England Workforce, Training and Education

Please do NOT dismiss the NHS Practitioner Health issue as a “small social media debate”

A reminder why NHS Practitioner Health was first set up - after the heartbreaking tragedy of a doctor who so feared stigma from colleagues she felt unable to seek mental health support - & killed herself & her baby daughter.

Please don't defund this vital service, NHS England 🙏
