I kept saying to Ciaran Shaman that weirdly, I’ve never seen a buzzard perched that I can photograph. Albeit from a distance so not that good quality, today I finally managed to see one perched on a pylon! 😀 chuffed to bits teesbirds

Full day, 35 miles, taking in all my regular eastern Cleveland haunts including Scaling (3 Whooper plus c30 over) & coastal patch Old Nab, Staithes to Skinningrove. Checked every field for Wheatear, just single Chiffchaff. Low-Carbon Birding teesbirds NorthYorksBirdNews

Golden hour at Margrove Ponds. Sightings included Greylag Geese, Mallard, Mute Swan but only 4 Cygnets (were 5 recently), Heron, Moorhen, Blue Tit, Robin, Wren, Crow, Buzzard and highlight was a Barn Owl - not seen one there for a while. teesbirds NorthYorksBirdNews Tees Wildlife

Percy Rigg - Kildale Moor 07.45 + Pink-feet x83 S, Whopper Swan x22 S, Grey Heron x3 S, Jackdaw x55 S, Carrion Crow x5 S, Wood Pigeon x106 S, Small trickle S, Chaffinch x2, Bullfinch x3, Linnet x12, Fieldfare x5, Also Mistle Thrush, Red Kite x2, Buzzard, Kestrel x2. Very quiet.
