There were very few times in their last years where I didn't wake up w/ a slumbering babe. Milly had her own room at 2 yrs that Ed painted (Daniel picked out the paint) & she still preferred to sleep with us or Harry. Every day starts & ends in tears bc my kids are in the ground.

The really cool part about the second part was that DW really worked hard to sell those chocolates. See I don't like chocolate unless I am pregnant so I didnt really buy any. He was such a good salesman!

Trying new experiences was important in our world, esp Millys. Every week at the grocery store the kids would pick out something new to try. This week Miily and daddy picked out tuna. It was a hit with our Princess! I miss seeing the world through my kids eyes.

This week was the 1st anniversary of losing my Mom. As I often do in tough times, I reached for a Stephen King classic - Skeleton Crew. Inside the cover, she had written my name and the year (1985). It must have been a gift from her but I didn't remember. Glad I picked that one.

The flukiest games night with Daniel. Talk about crazy rolls! I have never seen a game that had such weird rolls ever.
And yup, he totally beat me fair and square.

Harry loved to give out flowers. Usually it was dandelions to ladies he met on the street but one day he brought me this beautiful rose. He went to the grocery store with daddy & brought me home the most beautiful flower in the world. His special kiss made it magic for me.

Add another year to the dates because I am too sad and shaky to take proper pics.

A couple more glimpses into my beautiful life. I miss being a mom and relearning the world again for the first time with ny children.

My Sunday: An early morning ice cream run that got interrupted by potential new friends. Chats & texts. A failed attempt at cleaning. Frog hunting & swampy hike w my CC & friend. Kisses from my CC (constant companion) & Wood Scout. I *finally* got my ice cream early on Monday.

This was 10 yrs ago today.
As a busy nanay of 3 with a wee little lady, an active toddler and a super helpful school-ager I was tired.

Now I am so tired in a very different way.
So very, very tired.

One of our roll-the-dice-to-pick-a neighborhood-picnic-lunch days. Milly rolled in the park beside our kids school.
DW beat me in a game of 21.
The boys played basketball.
Milly & I had a snack in the little house whilst the boys (incl. Ed) rolled down the hill.

Ed with our princess at the park behind our house. She was truly a daddy's girl, the Apple of his eye. He started saving his spare change for her wedding the day we found out she was a girl. #DaddysLittleGirlEh
