have today signed an MOU with the South Sudan Government for the oprtationalisation of Nimule_ Kaya Distribution powerline and the 400kv Olwiyo_ Juba Transmission line.

As Eastern Africa Power Pool Steering Committee Chairman, I joined other power sector players at the high-level power sector engagement forum in Sharm–El–Sheikh, Egypt 🇪🇬 to discuss the realisation of the African Single Electricity Market & accelerating regional transmission interconnections.

On this transformational journey, UETCL is evolving, innovating, and redefining the 5-year strategy.

The UETCL 2024-2029 Corporate Strategy Plan is in the final stages and is tailored to the country's Energy Policy 2023 & Government of Uganda's Vision 2040 to meet the growing demand.

UETCL management & staff have convened for a 1 day strategy workshop to finalize preparation of the successor 2024-2029 Corporate Strategy Plan. Focus is on framework implementation including the road map, financing mechanisms and performance & stakeholder management.

Just wrapped up an incredibly productive staff 3rd quarterly meeting! It is inspiring to see the UETCL team engaging in discussions, sharing innovative ideas, and commitment to our mandate.

Together, we're charting an exciting course to Uganda's socio-economic development.

This morning, UETCL held its 3rd quarterly meeting for FY 2023/2024, chaired by Joshua Karamagi, CFA, Joshua Karamagi, CFA. The CEO appreciated staff for their accomplishments over the quarter & encouraged them to document their expectations for the upcoming strategic business plan period.

At UETCL, diversity is our strength. This evening, I shared Iftar with the UETCL Muslim staff as they observe the last 10 days of the holy month of #Ramadhan .

Such social gatherings are essential in building a strong organizational culture as we come together as colleagues.

This evening we held Iftar for UETCL’s Muslim staff at Naguru Skyz Hotel. Sheikh Jafaali Drapali addressed staff and reminded them of the importance of Ramadan and the significance of Iftar during their last 10 days of fasting
