The kids are not alright. In the 2023 provincial Youth Development Instrument report, 38% of respondents had depression, 39% generalized anxiety, and 36% reported needing but not seeking professional mental health care in the last 6 months. The Province must do better.

Each year, MCFD spends $160K for each child in their care. Yet the Take a Hike Foundation which provided over 1800 hours of counselling for youth last year, gets no consistent funding out of this government’s $89 billion budget. This government is spending money in the wrong places.

NDAs were developed for businesses to protect trade secrets, but too often are used to silence victims of workplace harassment and discrimination.

The province is simply not holding up its end of the bargain. We remember those we've lost to substance use with love and honour, yet continue to drag our feet on implementing life-saving measures.

Consistent public safety measures must protect all community members, including people who use drugs and those who don’t have a home.

I'd like to see the other opposition parties show even a sliver of the urgency about homelessness and poverty that they reserve for drug use.

Reversing decriminalization won't solve the deep-rooted issues of inequality and disconnectedness in our communities.
