I don't want to read too much into this new Biobot data point, but this is right around when my forecast predicts the uptick to start from FLiRT variant mutations. Will wait for NWSS data on Friday to confirm.

H5N1 learning how to use alpha2,6 is exactly what we don't want it to do. It would likely lead to much more efficient replication in human airways. May result in less severe disease, but more efficient H-H transmissibility.
