Try making a clay bee hotel for hairy-footed flower bees. It really seems to work: 3 residents so far :)

I'm addicted to Jack Hargreaves videos on YouTube. The presentation is brilliantly amateurish in the nicest possible way but the content top notch. Watch them now & they (and the sound-track) searingly evoke a time and a place lost forever.
He'd never have got a look-in today!

Annual tip. Is the water in your pond turning green? Buy a bag of water cress leaves from a supermarket. Add to a glass bowl of water on a windowsill. In a week leaves will begin to develop roots. Add plants to pond & watch the water clear during the next week or so.

Many visitors have been lucky to have sightings of Otters in the Tor View Hide area this last week. But none have been as lucky as Gary who managed to capture this video last weekend.

A bit calmer around the woods. Much less squabbling, chasing and shadowing. The male was hard at work for 5 hours excavating his hole. A few visits from the females livened things up a little. LesserSpot Network Windy but a beautiful light. I've had a magical week GusRobin
