It's been a terrible week for Starmer, which you can tell because Labour won two by-elections including a huge swing in Wellingborough, a poll says Tories will have below 80 MPs after the general election, and 18 ministers will lose their seats.

I repeat: TERRIBLE for Starmer.

I might be wrong (I often am) but I don't think the average person is screaming for tax cuts. I think most people want public services that are properly funded and actually work. And they are prepared to pay for that through their taxes.

Higher taxes
Crumbling public buildings
Hungry children
No growth in real wages since 2007

As I said last night on ITV News News at Ten, it’s not blindingly obvious that transporting a handful of asylum seekers to Rwanda - which is what lawyers on the left and right expect the new legislation to achieve, if it were passed - at a cost of payments to Rwanda of £290m,…

One thread emerging from UK Covid-19 Inquiry is the deadly mistakes made by leaders who only view any problem in terms of the economy. In art, education & elsewhere we’re in thrall to the idea of parachuting in “business experts”. But some things can’t be measured in profit & loss.

Carol Vorderman £9bn was not lost to fraud, it was signed off by Johnson's cabinet. It was a criminal conspiracy.

Every member of Cabinet who had any influence in these unlawful PPE contracts needs to be arrested and interrogated.

This is criminal theft, non accidental loss.
