Stop mowing daisies and start eating them! Daisies are high in vit C & closely related to artichokes. The leaves are tasty in salads. Bees love daisies.
Daisies were once known as the gardeners friend because daisy ointment cures backache.

Watch our latest animation narrated by the brilliant Chris Packham on the need to end the senseless badger cull.

Over 250,000 badgers have already lost their lives.

Please join us in calling on The Labour Party to end the cull should they get into power.

In just over 2 weeks time I'm going to be appearing on a panel along with the CEO of the Environment Agency and the CEO of Southern Water.

Land grabbing in the British countryside is leading to a concentration of ownership into the hands of 'investors'. That land will be used in whatever way is most profitable to them. In the process they are seizing control of the ability to decide the future of land use/management

Keep Kew Herbarium at Kew 1/2 🀨 this makes me really sad to hear, both from the point of view of staff working there already, they ARE top tier talent (see last weeks collections-based Nature publication, many of the authors who have purposefully moved their lives across oceans to work at Kew)…

Keep Kew Herbarium at Kew Makes me πŸ˜‚ gh. Has he heard that Canary Wharf top tier talent are fed up with the place and headed back into the heart of the cultural City?Who'd want to bus to work in a warehouse in the middle of nowhere, cut off from the gardens & researchers, losing research visitors etc?

Keep Kew Herbarium at Kew 2/2…but also for the trustee, that they don’t understand part of the lure of working at Kew is the historic Herbarium, certainly not the wages. Leave the collections in situ & offer wages people can live & thrive on & you’ll continue to attract talent…nature.com/articles/s4158…

Steve Almond, Kew trustee and ex banker told staff today, no 'top tier talent would be persuaded to come and work at Kew by walking around the existing herbarium or indeed the facilities in Jodrell. They are not world class.' Scientists beg to differ.. 🀯
