Surprising fact: institutional-level QS world rankings explain 47.8% of the variance in unit-level REF2021 environment GPAs, whereas unit-level grant income per FTE, PhD completions per FTE, and FTE submitted (all z-scored within subpanels) collectively explain only 43.5%.
